David Gerstenhaber

David Gerstenhaber

General Partner

David Gerstenhaber is a renowned macroeconomic strategist and hedge fund manager, known for founding Argonaut Capital Management after a successful career at Tiger Management. With deep expertise in global macroeconomic trends, he made several prescient market calls, including the commodity boom, U.S. housing crisis, and the Japanese Yen peak. He previously was a managing director where he built and led the highly successful macro group at Tiger Management and Morgan Stanley, with international experience in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and London. David earned both a BA and MA in economics from Yale, won a Fulbright Scholarship to Cambridge University (UK) where he obtained an MPhil, and has started multiple multifamily real estate businesses as well as funded and launched various startups.

Dylan Gerstenhaber is a sophomore at UCLA studying Business Economics. Involved in several entrepreneurial and business clubs on campus, Dylan is focused on different software and deep-tech ventures. He is the co-founder of an edtech startup set to launch soon, leveraging his background in digital entrepreneurship to develop effective solutions. Having been exposed to venture capital and economics throughout his adolescence, Dylan offers a clear, strategic, and growing perspective on venture capital in the startup ecosystem.
